How to make a comic GIF
1. Choose a short image sequence
Add panels or pages in the order viewers should see them. A focused reaction, reveal, transformation, or cover sequence is easier to understand than a full episode.
2. Set the frame size
Choose a width suitable for the destination. “Show whole image” preserves the full frame with empty space where needed; “Fill frame” crops edges to keep the animation full.
3. Set reading speed
Use a longer duration for dialogue or detailed artwork and a shorter duration for simple motion. Preview the result to confirm viewers have enough time to read.
4. Download and test
Open the downloaded GIF before posting. Social platforms may recompress large GIFs or replace them with video, so confirm the current upload rules.
